VALERIE WIENS, IBCLC

I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 14 years of experience helping families navigate breastfeeding challenges.

I’m the proud mother of 4 breastfed boys including a set of twins. We had our share of breastfeeding challenges; from low milk supply to oversupply and tongue tie to mastitis. I know first-hand the importance of compassionate and smart lactation care.

My practice is simply about helping families meet THEIR breastfeeding goals. If you book a consult with me you will find that your desires, instincts, and concerns will not be dismissed, but instead will inform all that we work on together.

If “support” is the right hand of my practice, then “solve” is the left. I’ll work to figure out what’s going wrong, and encourage you about all that is going RIGHT. Spoiler: it might be more than you think. :-)

I’ve had the privilege to live and work in many countries and one of my specialties is respecting and facilitating cultural postpartum expectations. I am conversational in Mandarin and very familiar with East Asian cultures’ postpartum customs.
